Rachels Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees

Spray nonstick spray on baking sheets

Whisk together:
1¼ cups all purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon baking powder
¼  teaspoon salt

Beat on medium speed:
¼ cup corn or canola oil
2 tablespoons unsalted, softened butter
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 large egg
1 large egg white
cup light or dark corn syrup (I've left this out before and added more sugar and it worked fine)
1 tablespoon milk
2 ½ teaspoons vanilla

add the flour mixture to the wet mixture.

Stir into the batter:
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup chocolate chips or raisins or both

Heaping measuring tablespoons 2½" apart for 7-10 minutes. Be careful to not overbake.
